A magna cum laude graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Speech, Kincaid is thrilled to join the team at VotePlan.US. After being named by Bustle Digital Group “Best Emerging Female Creator” for creating/producing/writing and starring in the award-winning digital comedy series Hug It Out, Kincaid was brought to NYC as a “series creator to watch” by IFP in collaboration
with Amazon Studios and HBO. Hug It Out and Kincaid also received honors and awards from over two dozen film festivals including: SeriesFest, Austin Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival, Chicago Independent Film Festival, Denver Film Festival, Portland Comedy Film Festival, London Comedy Film Festival and Pilot Light TV Festival in Manchester, England.
Kincaid most recently created, produced and co-wrote the digital comedy pilot The Grown-up Mermaid, which just started its festival run
winning an award at the LA Indie Shorts, part of the Los Angeles International Film Festival. Kincaid’s on-screen work includes co-starring opposite Rosario Dawson in the film Unforgettable; playing “Hillary” on the hit ABC comedy Speechless; one-half of the DINKS (dual-income, no kids) in the award-winning viral comedy series; as well as appearing on shows like Parks and Recreation, Gilmore Girls, Castle, Monk, My Name is Earl, and dozens of national television commercials, including spots directed by Ron Howard, Bob Odenkirk, Tom Kuntz and Phil Morrison.
In 2019, she formed a production company with her long-time producing partner Jason Eksuzian, Twin Flame Films, and is, among other projects, developing a feature based on best-selling author Susan McBride’s real-life story and memoir; as well as her award-winning teleplay Underneath.
Kincaid grew up in Iowa where she can recall meeting presidential candidates and hearing them speak as far back as she can remember. Her parents have always been passionate about social justice, standing up and taking action on behalf of the greater good, and voting rights, and she is happy to carry on the family tradition by joining the team of VotePlan.US to create and produce video content to help as many Americans vote in the upcoming November 3rd elections.
